Social movements that sustain lasting change are grounded in our hearts and draw on the unseen power of Spirit.
Gandhi had Hinduism. King and Mandela had Christianity. Malcolm X had Islam. Suu Kyi has Buddhism.
How can a diverse, leader-full movement access spiritual power to unite us and accomplish the profound social transformation we so urgently need - peacefully?
Just as Occupy Wall Street steps outside of ideology to include everyone to directly engage in social transformation, so shamanic practice lies outside of religion and includes everyone, regardless of faith - or lack thereof - in directly accessing spiritual power.
Join me for this potent and uplifting workshop that will be half informational and half experiential.
You will come away with: A basic understanding of what shamanism is, how it works - and how forging spiritual alliances with one another, the Earth, and our allies in the unseen world can help us bring about rapid and profound social healing and transformation.
You also will have the opportunity to directly experience shamanic practice as a source of personal and group renewal.
General tuition: $47
Low income / students / unemployed: $27
No one turned away for lack of funds

Workshop leader:
Lenore Norrgard has been a social activist for 40 years. She was initiated into shamanism in 1987 when a spirit spontaneously intervened and healed her deep, decades-long depression. Her first thought, after profound gratitude, was, "How can we bring this miraculous power into activism?"
Lenore trained extensively with the Foundation for Shamanic Studies, as well as with indigenous shamans, and has served as a shamanic healer, teacher and consultant since 1992.
From the beginning she pioneered ways to combine shamanism with social activism, working in private shamanic circles, in interfaith alliances and environments, and with secular organizations. Lenore is particularly known for her dedication to healing the wounds of racism and misogyny.
